Welcome beautiful boy - in home session in Park Slope

I’ve mentioned before how much I adore taking photos of my friends (see that blogpost here) but this session was with a family that are extra special to me. A few years ago, this mom and I undertook a Masters program at NYU, but ironically, it wasn’t until after we graduated that we met. A mutual friend of ours, who is a shrewd socializer I might add, had the good sense to connect us, as she had the foresight to know how well we would get on. That was three years ago and, as the saying goes, the rest is history. When you're an expat in NYC, your friends become your family, and that’s exactly how I feel about this sweet threesome. When I learned they were expecting some months ago, I could not be more thrilled, mostly because I knew they would soon be joining the League of Exhausted Parents with me. For this session, I headed over to their cozy Park Slope abode and we had an enjoyable morning while I observed my dear friends as new parents. It was actually hard to focus on taking the shots, as we kept stopping to natter about all things new-parenthood. It goes without saying that I treasure these images a great deal and I hope my dear friends do too
