One of the great things about being an NYC family photographer is that I’m always meeting new people and it is a constant reminder of what a true metropolis New York City is. Due to the sheer size of the city, I rarely bump into people I know. So you’ll be as surprised as I was to learn that upon getting to know this fabulous foursome, we have friends in common. And not just people we know – close friends. One works with my sisters best friend and another has worked with a friend I studied with a few years ago. To have not one, but two connections in common, really made me pause and wonder if the world we live in is actually that big. I mean what are the odds? The thing I loved most about this session is what a great family I met. This mom has three handsome grown men that are seriously killing it all over the world – one is a diplomat in Europe, another is in the travel industry in Australia and the other is in finance in NYC. I vividly remember thinking to myself during our session that if I can raise my son half as well as this mom raised hers, then I will be a happy lady. Because this family is made up of citizens of the world, face-to-face family time is uncommon. Our session came to be so we could freeze a few moments in time on the rare occasion that this foursome is all in the same place at the same time. Our backdrop was one of our city’s iconic locations, The High Line, which is a 1.45-mile-long linear park created on an elevated section of a disused New York Central Railroad spur called the West Side Line - it was a fun morning!
