I exchanged a couple of emails with this mom when she was midway through her pregnancy some months ago. Originally the session was conceived as maybe a gift (what else do you get an expecting mom who already has everything from baby number one?!) but then I was delighted to receive an email from her wonderfully caring husband, who really wanted to make sure his wife had her session with me, and arranged it himself. I was tickled pink. The session took place at their family abode in Harlem, and I couldn’t wait to check out their space. Over the centuries, Harlem has been defined by a series of economic boom-and-bust cycles, but the area is definitely in a boom cycle these days, and I can see why. Their apartment was probably the biggest and most beautiful space I’ve seen in Manhattan. The streets are leafy and the sidewalks are wide. Not only that, this family has a backyard - quite a rarity in Manhattan. I felt like I was somewhere in the burbs rather than NYC. Suffice to say this foursome has created quite an oasis for themselves in this big bustling metropolis of ours. A very huge congrats to your angelic addition to the family – it was my absolute pleasure to meet you all during such an important time in your lives
