The Freezing Weather
It’s probably no secret to anyone in the country that this has been one of the coldest New York winters' in years. I, personally, am freezing. However, being around joyous families for my work, I feel the warmth of their love, excitement, and happiness. I couldn't think of anything better to do this winter than welcome the pitter-patter of tiny baby feet. Curling up with newborn life is the perfect antidote to the frigid winter temperatures, and that’s exactly what this lovely family has been doing. For a newborn session, I captured at the very beginning of this cold season (that seems so long ago!), check out this blog post. Baby L in this session, despite the cold, warms all of our hearts with the cutest facial expressions and poses. Baby L is totally a natural to the camera!
Welcome to Washington Heights, Baby L!
I really couldn’t be happier to share this sweet newborn session with you all. This has been one of my favorite at-home newborn sessions and, not just because Baby L's parents are absolutely wonderful (and Baby L is totally adorable!). When I arrived, I learned that these parents got a bit of an unexpected crash course in parenting. Their cute Baby L arrived 3 weeks early, totally thwarting mom and dad’s plans to undertake some renovations to their recently purchased New York City abode. In fact, they only barely moved to the wonderful Washington Heights neighborhood before they were off to the hospital. I joked with mom that it's an early lesson of how little control we have over our lives once we become parents. But, I couldn’t be more thrilled they moved to the area – they are the sweetest and loveliest new parents! I know I will cross paths with them and Baby L again very soon!
