It all started with a late night message exchange when this mama messaged me indicating that she really wanted to get some photos of her and her gals. She said it had been awhile. Lucky for all of us, I had a last minute opening, so I feel like this lovely threesome was a match made in heaven sent straight my way from the Photo Gods.
We met at Alta Laguna Park at Top of the World. I got there a bit early, as I always try and do, and while I was fiddling around with my camera I heard a big gregarious hello and I looked up to see a warm welcome wave from mom and her daughters looking effortlessly fabulous as they cross the car park. Our connection was instant. The sun was starting to set and the girls were eager to walk to check out this beautiful setting which they hadn’t yet been privy to. So we walked and talked and I let the playful love that these three have for one another play out with just a few prompts here and there to keep things moving in the right direction. This session was easily one of the most fun I’ve had to date and seeing this mother’s bond with her beautiful gals makes me all the more excited to have a little gal of my own (I always thought I was gonna be a boy mama!)
I’ve really been yearning for more freedom and candidness in my work and when I met this threesome, I knew it would be a great time to push in that direction, and I’m so glad I did. If you’ve been kind enough to read this far, please keep scrolling, as I promise the best is yet to come. And to those in the Orange County area who want to get together to capture some candid family memories, please don’t wait! Your children grow up by the minute and there is no better time than right now.
Oh and if you love the images below, feel free to check out another family photo session at Top of the World.
