It's always wonderful to work with families that treasure their family images as much as I treasure my own. Mama E and I got talking months ago when they were expecting their second beautiful boy and we scheduled a maternity session, a fresh 48 and newborn photos. I've collated some images from all three sessions to share in this blog post. For the maternity session, we decided to head to Irvine Regional Park. We got their just in the nick of time as the sun began to set and we were literally chasing the sun for their shoot. Once you already have one babe in your brood, maternity sessions are really a farewell to your life as a threesome (definitely a little bitter sweet), and that's exactly what this session was.
Beautiful Baby A was born a bit earlier, but Mama E told me at her maternity session that she wasn't enjoying the pregnancy that much (just like me - I wished I loved being pregnant, but I just didn't like it at all). So I think sweet Baby A came along a bit earlier to relieve her. I headed off to the hospital when sweet Baby A was not even 48 hours old. For this session, it was only mom, dad and their sweet new babe. If you don't know what a fresh 48 session is, check out this blog post where I discuss a fresh 48 photo shoot in greater detail.
Lastly, we decided to do in-home newborn photos when Baby A was exactly 1 month old. You probably wouldn't believe me, but he was already holding his head up. Such a strong little guy already - looks like he's determined not to be baby for too long. I asked Mama E if we could do the session in home as that's where people are most relaxed. It's your most intimate space and people are at their most comfortable. I know alot of people worry about what their home look like - I get it. But I focus on you and your people and the connections you share, not what your home looks like. Check out the best of the best from these 3 sessions!
