Couples photo shoot at Irvine Regional Park, Orange County, California

About the location: Irvine Regional Park, Orange County, California

Irvine Regional Park is nestled among a grove of sprawling trees and the foothills surrounding the park are filled with an abundance of wildlife. The variety of landscape means that you can get a variety of settings for photo shoots. From rocky landscapes to green fields (although less when there’s no rain), Irvine Regional Park is definitely a great spot for a nature filled photo session. It is the perfect backdrop if you love the adventurous and rocky terrain look in your family photos. In contrast, the grassy fields at the bottom of the park are perfect for a more relaxed and nature filled feel.

Stylish couples’ session in the hills of Irvine Regional Park

I loved this session. Not only did we have an amazing landscape all to ourselves, which made me feel like we were somewhere in the outback, but Mom and Dad decided to do shoot just for themselves. I was introduced to Mama A (by the mom from this family session) not long after we arrived in Cali. Most of you who follow me know my son went through an aggressive phase during our transition and one of the first times I met her, my son got tangled in a toddler tantrum with her daughter. “Great, I thought to myself. Just what I needed to help me make new friends”. But this mama was so cool about it – told me that my son would be lucky if he walked away unscathed and then proceeded to tell me about an aggressive phase her daughter went through. How cool is that? Not only no mom shaming or judgment, but a little understanding. She’s super down to earth and I felt instantly at ease around her. Not only that, she’s beautiful and her and her handsome husband totally rocked the camera. Check out these rad images!
