We arranged this one year milestone photo shoot in the nick of time. The little cutie-pie in the photos well he turned 1 last week. I love hearing from parents when they want to schedule a 1 year milestone session as making it through the first year, for both the parents and the babe, is a momentous occasion. It's also a fun time to to shoot because, as the years progress, you can remember where your baby was at (ie was your babe crawling or walking, how many teeth in his sweet grins etc). There are so many things to remember. And I feel like there are a lot of birthdays around the holiday season too. Feel free to check out this link to a one year old family photo session shot in Jeffrey Open Space Trail Irvine for a babe who was also born last December.
This sweet mom emailed me and indicated she was a bit nervous about the session because it was their first family photo shoot as a threesome. That's a totally understandable perspective. Babies around 1 year old are on the move and don't readily do what you want them too. So I think it's reasonable to be a bit worried before the shoot. But having met Mama S in person, I’m pretty sure nobody in her family can take a bad photo - she is stunning, as are the two men in her family. They look like they are straight out of a J Crew catalog. But I told mom she need not worry, as all we are going to do at the session is hang out and do some of their normal family activities, like read books, jump on the bed and head to a local park. And that is exactly what we did. By one year old, babies want to move and explore everything. So I think the best part of being one can be captured as your baby explores the world around him cause that's what this age is about.
Sweet Baby D was motoring around... Crawling with gusto and pulling himself up at every opportunity. He had a smile that could stop wars and the biggest most beautiful brown eyes... Check out his cuteness in the images below!
